Built by Raja Raja Kaimal of the Thainadam
Family more than 120 years ago, the Eara House
is a one of a Padipurra (7 houses).
Traditionally built for the women in the family
this house was built with four entrances, known
as Nalukett and opens out to an open courtyard.
The rich paddy fields extending more than 10
kilometers away from Changanacherry to Alleppey
and the country boats were all owned by the
affluent Brahmins and Nairs of that era.
This house owned by Thangaraj Kaimal of the
fifth generation of the family has been lovingly
recreated room from room. Authentic wood
paneling, courtyards, coconut trees and sea
breeze makes this house a perfect getaway – a
home away from home.

The beautifully restored Little Poovarani House
was once owned by an aristocratic Catholic
plantation family almost 90 years ago.
Built with meticulous attention to detail by
Devassla Onda of Pattermadom, this is a standing
example of houses from the Poovarani Village in
Meenachil Taluk, Kottayam.
Comfortable and completely furnished Little
Poovarani is reminiscent of the era with its
intricate architectural detailing, wide open
verandahs and common courtyard.

Experience the grace and richness of this
beautifully restored house which was owned and
built by a Syrian Christian family in the
Edathuva, Alleppey District. The builder Thommy
Varkey further modified and expanding this
sprawling family house and was used by future
generations of the family nearly 60 years ago.
The last owner was Pandara Parambil Abraham
Thomas, a Revenue Office to the Government of
Kerala.
Twin House 1 retains all its original character
whilst combining every modern convenience for
the comfort of our guests.

open courtyard, Twin House 2 was originally
built by Syrian Christian family Ittoop Mathew
of Vazhakkuzhil during the 4th generation.
Meticulously maintained for almost 80 years,
this warm and inviting house combines the
historical ambience with every possible modern
convenience.
The peacefully rural setting of Twin House 2
combines the natural beauty of the heritage as
well as the coast. Catch the sunrise rise
everyday and relax in the open verandah.
